DAC STANDINGS

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's third-ranked baseball team has a two-game lead atop the Dallas Athletic Conference standings entering the final week of the regular season.

The Harvester Bees (41-11, 22-5 DAC) begin the final three-game series of the season at Dallas College North Lake (24-29, 13-14) Wednesday before hosting the final two games Friday and Saturday. Eastfield enters this final week two games in front of sixth-ranked Dallas College Richland (35-17, 20-7) for first place in the conference. Richland meets Dallas College Cedar Valley (29-24, 9-18) in its final series.

The DAC regular season champs will host next week's double-elimination portion of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament Thursday-Saturday. The third place team in the DAC has the option to host Wednesday's single-elimination round before the site flips to the No. 1 seed.

Eastfield beat Richland in four of the six games this season, and holds the head-to-head tiebreaker should the two teams finish in a tie for first place in the league.

The Harvester Bees swept North Lake in the opening round series, outscoring the Blazers, 32-5, in the three games to open April.

Eastfield has won the last two DAC regular season and South Central District titles, and finished as the NJCAA Division III runner up both years.
