Dyer Collects Second DAC Pitcher of Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Ryan Dyer was chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

It is the second time this season he has won the award.

A sophomore right-hander from North Richland Hills, Texas, Dyer went 1-0 last week, pitching six shutout innings, allowing four hits and two walks, and striking out a career-high eight batters in an 11-0 win at Dallas College North Lake.

Dyer improved to 6-0 with a 3.40 earned run average and 54 strikeouts in 55 2/3 innings this year.

Ranked No. 3 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, Eastfield (40-8, 20-4 DAC) begins a three-game series at No. 6 Dallas College Richland (28-20, 17-7) at noon Thursday.
