Eastfield Volleyball Collects 5 All-America Honors

NJCAA DIII VOLLEYBALL ALL-AMERICANS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield volleyball's Carli Banks, Azoria Davis and Taryn Doiron were named National Junior College Athletic Association Division III First Team All-Americans.

Harvester Bees teammate Brenly Walker was a Second Team All-America selection, and McKenzie Anderson earned Third Team All-America recognition.

All of them repeated as national champions.

A sophomore outside hitter from Houston, Banks was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player. A First Team All-DAC selection, she pounded 282 kills, hit .323, had 43 aces, 313 digs and 54 blocks. She had a career-high 15 kills and 30 digs in a five-set win over Temple College. She ripped off five aces in a sweep of Central Community College-Columbus, and had four blocks in a four-set win over Metropolitan Community College.

A sophomore outside hitter from League City, Texas, Davis was a First Team All-DAC choice. She was voted the Most Valuable Player of the NJCAA Division III Tournament. Davis had 263 kills, 39 blocks, 319 digs and 23 aces. She had a season-high 15 kills in a sweep of Dallas College North Lake. She had a season-high 19 digs in a 3-1 win over Western Texas College. Davis had a season-best four blocks in the sweep of Central Community College-Columbus. She fired off a career-high five aces in the national quarterfinal sweep of Owens Community College.

A sophomore setter from Orange, Texas, Doiron was named the DAC Setter of the Year for the second consecutive year, and was a First Team All-DAC choice. She was named to the NJCAA Division III All-Tournament Team. Doiron led the nation in assists with 1,211, and was second in assists per set (11.32). She had a career-high 62 assists in the win over Temple College, and had 50 or more assists in four matches. She also had 34 blocks, 294 digs and 32 aces. She had a career-high 15 digs, five aces and four blocks in two matches. Doiron is headed to Lamar University to finish her career.

A sophomore outside hitter from Lexington, Texas, Walker was a First Team All-DAC pick. She was named National Offensive Player of the Week in early September. Walker had 315 kills, 290 digs, 46 blocks and 30 aces. She had a career-high 19 kills in the win over Metropolitan. She recorded a season-high three aces in three matches, 20 digs in a 3-2 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and a career-high four blocks in a sweep of Tyler Junior College.

A sophomore middle blocker from Liberty, Texas, Anderson was a First Team All-DAC selection. She was voted to the NJCAA Division III All-Tournament Team. Anderson led the team with 321 kills and a .372 attack percentage, and was second with 84 blocks. She pounded a career-high 21 kills in back-to-back wins over Metropolitan and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on the same day, and had a career-high eight blocks in a sweep of Central Community College-Columbus.
