Morgan, Lozano Chosen League Players of Week

Dallas College Eastfield's Jayden Morgan and Nick Lozano have been named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week. Morgan was selected as the league's Offensive Player of the Week, while Lozano earned the conference Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore outfielder from Edgewood, Texas, Morgan hit .571 (8-for-14) with two doubles, a home run, seven runs batted in, 10 runs scored, three walks and three stolen bases as the Harvester Bees went 4-0, sweeping a three-game conference series with Dallas College Mountain View and beating National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Paris Junior College. He had all eight of his hits in the DAC series.

Morgan is batting .367 with 12 doubles, a triple, six home runs, 33 RBI, 42 runs scored and nine stolen bases this season.  

A freshman right-handed pitcher from Trenton, Texas, Lozano tossed six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, and struck out a season-high seven batters in an 18-0 shutout victory over Dallas College Mountain View. It was his first start of the season.

He improved to 2-0 with two saves and a 0.98 earned run average in six appearances this season.

Eastfield (30-9, 15-3 DAC) will host Dallas College Richland (25-16, 13-5) at noon Wednesday to begin a three-game series.
