Rodriguez, Conway Named First Team All-Americans
Dallas College Eastfield's Angel Rodriguez and Cade Conway were named National Junior College Athletic Association Division III First Team All-Americans.
Cody Ausmus was selected Second Team All-American.
A sophomore first baseman from Tyler, Texas, Rodriguez batted a team-best .414 with 16 home runs, 13 doubles, five triples, 84 runs batted in, 78 runs scored and 52 walks. He ranked third in the country in RBI and tied for sixth in home runs.
A sophomore outfielder from Paris, Texas, Conway hit .372 with 14 home runs, 17 doubles, three triples, 63 RBI, 61 stolen bases, 79 runs scored and 40 walks. He ranked third in the nation in stolen bases.
A sophomore right-handed pitcher from Paris, Texas, Ausmus went 8-1 with one save, a 2.58 earned run average and 45 strikeouts in 19 appearances. His eight victories were tied for ninth nationally, and his 2.58 ERA tied for 14th.
