Eastfield Baseball Ranked No. 1 in Nation
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's baseball team is ranked No. 1 in the nation.
The Harvester Bees took over the top spot in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, following a three-game sweep of Dallas College Mountain View. Eastfield (28-7, 11-1 Dallas Athletic Conference) was ranked No. 2 since the preseason.
The Bees moved up to the top perch after sitting at No. 2 for the first three weeks in the regular season polls. Eastfield jumped over Rowan College South Jersey – Gloucester, which slipped to No. 3. Northampton Community College vaulted from fourth to second. Brookdale Community College dropped a spot from third to fourth.
Dallas College Richland held its spot at No. 5.
Following Monday's game with Arlington Baptist University Red, the Harvesters open a three-game series with Dallas College North Lake (15-17, 7-5) at noon Wednesday at the Hive.
