Do Named DAC Pitcher of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Tyler Do was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A freshman from Sugar Land, Texas, Do went the distance in a 16-1 seven-inning win at Dallas College North Lake Saturday. He allowed four hits, a run and no walks, and struck out four to improve to 7-0 this season. It was his first complete game of his college career.

Do's seven wins are tied for the most in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III. He lowered his earned run average to 4.26, and now has 36 strikeouts in 44.1 innings pitched.

Ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division III poll, Eastfield (32-7, 14-1 DAC) begins the second half of conference play at Dallas College Brookhaven (18-17, 9-6) Wednesday at noon.
