Peters, Poole NJCAA DIII Second Team-Americans

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's Marcus Peters and Payton Poole were selected as National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Second Team All-Americans.

A sophomore right-handed pitcher from Richardson, Texas, Peters went 12-4 with a 3.23 earned run average and 104 strikeouts in 86.1 innings this season. He was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year. He led the country in wins.

Poole, a sophomore first baseman from Benbrook, Texas, batted .381 with 28 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 79 runs batted in, 14 stolen bases, a .628 slugging percentage and .462 on-base percentage. He was tied for second in the country in doubles, and tied for fourth in RBI.

Eastfield (50-15) was the national runner-up and won the DAC regular season title for the third straight year.
