
Palma Named DAC Player of Week
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Sebastian Palma was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
A freshman third baseman from Dallas, Palma batted .636, going 7 for 11, with a pair of grand slams, two doubles, a triple, 13 RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base as the Harvester Bees went 3-0 last week. He was 3 for 4 with the grand slam, double and six RBI in a 15-6 win over Trinidad State College Saturday. He went 2 for 3 with a grand slam, triple and four RBI in the week-ending 7-0 shutout of Trinidad State. He also had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs in a 13-2 win over Galveston College to begin the week.
Palma is hitting .408 with 27 RBI and four triples this season.
Eastfield (24-3, 6-0 DAC) takes its 13-game winning streak into Monday's 2 p.m. game against Western Oklahoma State College before returning to league play with a three-game series beginning at Dallas College North Lake noon Wednesday.
