
Bees Take Two-Game Lead in DAC
DALLAS – Dallas College Eastfield took a two-game cushion at the top of the Dallas Athletic Conference, following its 9-4 win over Dallas College Mountain View Wednesday.
Harvester Bees starter Tyler Do (3-2) allowed four runs, three of them earned, on six hits and three walks, while striking out seven in the win. Gavin Silva pitched the final two innings of scoreless relief, surrendering just a walk.
Third baseman Sebastian Palma collected three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in three runs. It was Palma's fourth homer of the year. Second baseman Garret Hendricks was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI. Designated hitter Erik Aguirre went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base. Center fielder Luke Sasser was 2 for 5 with a double and a stolen base. First baseman Jorge Herrera doubled, and drove in a run.
The Harvester Bees (36-7, 16-3 DAC) took a 3-1 lead in the third inning. They scored three more in the top of the fifth to extend the lead to 6-1. After Mountain View (8-32, 1-18) pushed a run across in the sixth, the Bees tacked on three more in the seventh. The Lions responded with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning, but it wasn't enough.
The three-game series shifts to Mesquite, Texas for Thursday and Friday's final two games.
