Dyer Named NJCAA DIII Pitcher of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's Ryan Dyer was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore right-hander who hails from North Richland Hills, Texas, Dyer worked six shutout innings last week, striking out a career-high eight hitters, and giving up four hits and two walks in an 11-0 victory over Dallas College North Lake.

Dyer ran his record to 6-0 with one save this year. He owns a 3.40 earned run average and 54 strikeouts in six starts and 17 appearances.

No. 3 Eastfield (41-8, 20-4 Dallas Athletic Conference) has a three-game series against No. 7 Dallas College Richland (28-20, 17-7) this week, beginning Thursday on the road.
