Bio

Marcus Woodard was named eSports head coach at Dallas College Eastfield in July 2024. It is the second time he has served in the coaching role at Eastfield.

In the spring of 2025, Eastfield's Eduard Velasquez advanced to the first round of the National Junior College Athletic Association eSports FC 25 Nationals. In the fall of 2024, the Harvester Bees' Rocket League team qualified for the postseason, advancing to the second round of the consolation bracket. 

Woodard also served as Eastfield's eSports coach in 2022. He also holds the role of eSports coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley. At Cedar Valley, Khoi Nguyen won national championships in FIFA and FC24 under Woodard.

Woodard spent the 2022 fall and 2023 spring seasons as the eSports coach at Dallas College Mountain View. One of his gamers, Aahil Ajani, competed in the NBA2K Spring Finals in the first year of Dallas College's esports existence, representing Mountain View.

Prior to Dallas College, Woodard held the role as the assistant coach of the Hornets Venom GT of the Charlotte Hornets in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, he prepared and implemented game strategies and basketball analytics, supervised practices and provided leadership and direction relevant to the NBA 2K League. 

For two years, he worked as the league director of Esposure, a Duncanville, Texas-based global esports technology company, organizing tournaments. He was responsible for content creation of videos used in social media marketing purposes. He also shoutcasted tournaments with an emphasis on NBA 2K pro-am and professional leagues.
