Williams Named Dallas Athletic Conference Player of Week
Dallas College Eastfield's Jacore Williams has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.
Williams, a sophomore guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, averaged 13.7 points, while going 11-for-13 from the free throw line, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and three steals per game as the Harvester Bees went 2-1 during the week.
Williams, who was selected for the award for the second time this season, scored 20 points in a win over Southwestern Christian College and 19 in a victory at Redlands Community College. He shot a combined 14 of 24 in those games, and had eight rebounds, five steals and five assists at Redlands. Williams had three steals at Southwest Christian.
Eastfield, ranked No. 4 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, will host Dallas College Mountain View in a nonconference game 2 p.m. Wednesday.
