Holmes Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Delkedric Holmes was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-2 freshman guard from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Holmes averaged 18 points, 9.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 5.3 steals per game as the Harvester Bees went 3-0 during the week.

Holmes had a triple-double against Southwestern Christian College, scoring 13 points, dishing out 12 assists and grabbing 11 rebounds to go along with six steals in a 124-101 victory. He had a double-double against Arlington Baptist University's Red Team, scoring 17 points, dishing out 11 assists and picking up six more steals and four rebounds in a 158-94 win. Holmes capped the week with a 24-point, five assist, four-steal performance as Eastfield beat Hill College, 84-80.

Holmes is averaging nine points, 4.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Eastfield (7-9) will host Tribulation Prep 6 p.m. Monday and CYM Prep 6 p.m. Wednesday before taking a month off for the holiday break.
