Harvester Bees Resume Season Saturday at Temple

EASTFIELD MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's men's basketball team will return to the court Saturday, following a 17-day break, when the Harvester Bees play at Temple College.

Eastfield (3-13) competes at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III level. Temple (10-4) is an NJCAA Division I institution.

The Harvester Bees, under first-year coach Byron Rimm, are coming off a win at Dallas College Cedar Valley to end the first round of Dallas Athletic Conference play Dec. 18. The Leopards have won five in a row entering their game at Angelina College 3 p.m. Thursday.

In 13 games, Eastfield's Delkedric Holmes is averaging 18.9 points and 3.9 steals per game. Devin Holmes is scoring 9.6 points, and coming up with 1.1 steals. Mussa Mzein is averaging 6.1 points, five rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

Temple's Josh Telfort is averaging 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Storm Gilchrist is averaging 10.8 points, 8.3 boards and 1.5 blocks. They are the leaders on a balanced team, what with six players scoring 7.9 points or more per game.

Eastfield's first home game of the new year is 6 p.m. Tuesday against Loyalty College Prep.
