FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield beat host Dallas College Brookhaven 73-70 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District quarterfinals Tuesday night.
The sixth-seeded Harvester Bees (8-21) will play at top-seeded Dallas College Richland (19-10) in the semifinals 6 p.m. Thursday on TSBN Network.
Delkedric Holmes scored a career-best 35 points for the Bees, whose three-point halftime advantage was the difference. Both teams scored 38 points in the second half.
Reggie McDonald had 14 points, and Devin Holmes added 10 for the Harvesters.
Brookhaven (10-21) shot 44 percent. The Bears were 20 of 31 from the free throw line.
Jeremy Roman had 17 points, six rebounds and a block for Brookhaven. He was 9 for 12 from the free throw line. Brandon Webber had 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting and six boards. Zach Gomez finished with 10 points.
Brookhaven had 14 of its 34 rebounds on the offensive glass.
Eastfield is moving on to the district semifinals for the eighth straight year.
