Darnell Hugee was named assistant men's basketball coach at Dallas College Eastfield in November 2024.

In his first season with the program, the Harvester Bees went went 8-22 overall, 5-10 in the Dallas Athletic Conference. The Harvester Bees advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District semifinals after beating host Dallas College Brookhaven in the quarterfinals. The Bees beat the top two teams in the DAC during the regular season, coming up with wins over Dallas College Richland and Dallas College North Lake. Delkedric Holmes was named First Team All-DAC.
