Loftin Named National Goalkeeper of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's Breanna Loftin was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Goalkeeper of the Week.

Loftin, a 5-foot-7-inch freshman from Garland, Texas, posted back-to-back shutouts with 15 saves as the Harvester Bees won their first two games of the season last week. She made nine saves in a 3-0 win over Dallas College Mountain View in the Dallas Athletic Conference opener. She also had six stops in a 3-0 shutout of Southwestern Adventist University.

Loftin improved to 2-6 on the season after her two straight clean sheets.

Eastfield (2-7, 1-1 DAC) will host Dallas College Cedar Valley, which is receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III rankings, at 6 p.m. Friday.
