Loftin Wins Final DAC Defensive Player of Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Breanna Loftin was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

It is the second time this season she has won the award.

A freshman goalkeeper from Garland, Texas, Loftin pitched a shutout in a scoreless draw with No. 3 nationally-ranked Dallas College Richland to end the regular season. Loftin made 10 saves in recording her fourth shutout of the season. She faced 10 shots in the first half and nine more in the second half. It was her second shutout of the month, the first a 1-0 victory at Dallas College Mountain View Oct. 3.

Eastfield (3-12-2) meets Dallas College North Lake (3-8-5) in the NJCAA Division III South District quarterfinals 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas College Brookhaven.
