Davis' Hat Trick Triggers Bees' Win

DALLAS – Mackensie Davis recorded a hat trick, and Dallas College Eastfield women's soccer team beat shorthanded Dallas College Mountain View, 3-0, Tuesday.

It was Davis' first career hat trick, and her third multi-goal game of the season. She has 10 goals, which leads the Dallas Athletic Conference. 

The Harvester Bees improved to 4-7-1 overall, 2-3-1 in the DAC.

Davis scored twice in a four-minute span late in the first half. She gave the Harvesters a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute on an assist from Cora Hurst. Four minutes later, Davis found the back of the net again on a setup from Roselyn Rodriguez.

That sent the Bees into the half up 2-0.

Davis' hat trick came in the 60^th minute on a second assist from Hurst.

Davis attempted nine shots, including seven on goal.

Eastfield goalkeeper Aspen Zesiger was credited with eight saves in the shutout.
