Journey Hill named Dallas Atheltic Conference Player of the Week

The Dallas Athletic Conference has announced the Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 26 – October 2.

Journey Hill of Dallas College - Eastfield is the DAC Player of the Week.

The 5-11 freshman outside hitter from Houston (TX) helped Eastfield go 2-0 this past week. Hill had 29 kills (3.6 kills per set) and only six hitting errors on 83 attempts for a very impressive attack percentage of .277. Journey scored 30.5 points in eight sets played for an average of 3.8 points scored per set. She had 41 total digs, which is 5.1 digs per set. Journey had two double-doubles last week; 12 kills and 21 digs in a three-set win against North Lake and 17 kills and 20 digs in a five-set win at Cedar Valley. Journey was the match leader in kills in both matches played last week. Hill also had a service ace and a block assist this past week. Journey had a phenomenal week passing with only one reception error on 44 total receptions for a 2 percent reception error on the week and her passing average was 2.4 on a 3.0 scale.
