Walker Selected DAC Defensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield freshman outside hitter Brenly Walker was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

Walker, a native of Lexington, Texas, had 35 digs, four blocks, 34 kills and six aces as the Harvester Bees went 4-0 at the Wrangler Ranger Roundup. She had double-digit digs in two of the four sweeps, while also picking up at least a block in both and putting down eight balls in both matches.

Eastfield improved to 6-0 this season, having dropped just one set thus far.

The Harvester Bees will host Southwestern Christian College 6 p.m. Tuesday in the home opener before bringing in four teams for a pair of matches both Friday and Saturday, beginning at noon each day.
