Harvesters Go 2-0 on Friday

MESQUITE, Texas -- Dallas College Eastfield's No. 9 nationally-ranked volleyball team continued its unblemished start to the season, moving to 9-0 with two three-set victories Friday. 

The  took down Southwestern Adventist University, 25-1, 25-15, 25-7. Eastfield hit an outstanding .411 as a team, knocking down 48 kills, while adding 53 digs. Everyone got in on the action, with Kendall Wilson leading the team with nine kills on 12 attempts.

In the second match, Eastfield took on Rose State, again winning in straight sets, 25-14, 25-14, 25-12. The offense kept rolling with 47 kills and a .379 hitting percentage. The Harvesters were led by Brenly Walker with 16 kills and a .577 hitting percentage. The Bees also added 62 digs and seven service aces to aid in the victory.

Eastfield returns to action at home Saturday against Dallas Christian College at noon and against Seminole State at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
