Volleyball Goes 3-0 on Oklahoma Trip

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- Dallas College Eastfield's No. 2 nationally-ranked volleyball team picked up three more wins in a trip to Oklahoma over the weekend. All of them came via the sweep.

The Harvester Bees have swept 14 straight matches. 

In the first match of the trip, the Bees swept Pratt Community College at Seminole State College. Eastfield won the first two sets comfortably, 25-14 and 25-17. Pratt made the third set interesting, tieing things up at 19-19 before Eastfield pulled it out, 26-24. Brenly Walker finished with 12 kills and eight digs. Ava Cole had 11 digs and two service aces.

In the second match of the day, Eastfield ran past Seminole State in a rematch of their match in Mesquite last weekend. The Harvesters again jumped out to an early lead, never looking back for the 3-0 win. The teams stayed close in the first set before Eastfield pulled away for the 25-21 victory. The Harvesters jumped out to an early lead in Set 2, rolling to a 25-15 win before closing out the match with a 25-20 win in Set 3. Azoria Davis had 14 kills and a .314 hitting percentage, while also adding 15 digs. Cole added 21 digs and an ace to anchor the defense.

Saturday, the Harvester Bees wrapped up the trip at Rose State College, again winning 3-0 to improve their record to 15-0 on the season. The Bees coasted past Rose State College, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-15. Eastfield used a balanced attack to control the match, with three players registering seven kills, and another putting down six balls, while hitting .281 as a team. The Harvesters also registered 13 service aces.

Eastfield will travel to Brenham, Texas next weekend to compete in the Blinn College Classic.
