Cole Chosen National Defensive Player of Week

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – Dallas College Eastfield libero Ava Cole was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

A freshman libero from Royse City, Texas, Cole averaged 4.4 digs per set, totalling 53 in four matches as the No. 2-ranked Harvester Bees went 4-0 during the week with all sweeps. She also had three aces and nine assists during the week.

Cole leads Eastfield with 202 digs this season, and has reached 20 or more in a match three times.

The Harvester Bees (15-0) will compete in their final in-season tournament of the year Friday and Saturday at the Blinn College Classic.
