Walker, Anderson Named DAC Volleyball Players of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Brenly Walker and McKenzie Anderson collected this week's Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors.

Walker, a 5-foot-9 freshman outside hitter from Lexington, Texas, was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week. She hit .447 with 21 kills in 38 attacks, and had 21 digs, a block and an ace as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 2-ranked Harvester Bees improved to 21-0 with a pair of sweeps in league play. Walker pounded 14 kills, and hit .545 in the sweep of Dallas College North Lake.

It was the second time this season Walker was chosen for the DAC's Player of the Week honor.

A 6-1 freshman middle blocker from Liberty, Texas, Anderson earned the conference Defensive Player of the Week. She had five blocks, three digs and 10 kills with no errors for a .526 hitting percentage. Eastfield's opponents hit a combined .021 in the two matches.

The Harvester Bees (21-0, 2-0 DAC) will play at Dallas College Mountain View (6-11, 0-2) Monday.
