Walker Named DAC Offensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Brenly Walker was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

It is the third time this season Walker has collected a DAC Player of the Week honor.

A freshman outside hitter from Lexington, Texas, Walker hit .471 as the No. 1-ranked Harvester Bees swept a pair of conference opponents last week. Walker finished the week with 19 kills in 34 attacks, and had 18 digs, three blocks and seven aces.

Walker hit .615 with eight kills and no errors in a sweep of Dallas College Cedar Valley. She had 11 kills, and hit .364 in a sweep of Dallas College Mountain View. She finished with a double-double against Mountain View after scooping up 16 digs. She has hit .over .360 in her past three matches.

Walker is hitting .296 this season.

The Harvester Bees (27-0, 8-0 DAC) play at fourth-ranked Dallas College Brookhaven (11-13, 6-2) in the penultimate match of the regular season 6 p.m. Monday. A win in one of the final two matches will secure the DAC regular season title for the Bees. They host Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Thursday.
