Harvesters Finish Regular Season Undefeated

MESQUITE, Texas -- Dallas College Eastfield Harvester Bees' volleyball team finished the regular season undefeated Thursday night with a 3-0 win over visiting Dallas College Richland.

Richland jumped out to an early 5-1 lead to start the match before Eastfield roared to life, winning the first set 25-13. The Harvesters never looked back, winning the second set, 25-8, and the third set, 25-10.

Eastfield had a strong offensive night, knocking down 43 kills, and hitting .360 for the match. The Bees were also strong defensively, notching 43 digs, six blocks and nine service aces, while holding Richland to a negative hitting percentage.

Brenly Walker, Kendall Wilson and Azoria Davis all had eight kills to lead the Harvesters offensively, while Taryn Doiron and Denee Cullum had 18 and 15 assists, respectively. Ava Cole led the defense with nine digs.

It was also Sophomore Night for Eastfield. After the match, the team recognized McKayla Archer, Denee Cullum, Amber Smart, Aleyna Gerlach, Tasmine Maxwell and Kristi Hinze for their contributions to the program.
