Eastfield Hosts NJCAA South District Tourney Wednesday-Saturday
MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament Wednesday-Saturday.

The NJCAA Division III No. 1-ranked Harvester Bees (29-0) and Dallas College North Lake (16-17) will receive first round byes as the top two seeds.
Third-seeded Dallas College Brookhaven (12-14) will meet sixth-seeded Dallas College Cedar Valley (0-16) in Wednesday's 5:30 p.m. quarterfinals. Fourth-seeded Dallas College Richland (7-21) will play fifth-seeded Dallas College Mountain View (12-18) in the second quarterfinal.
The semifinals are set to begin 5:30 p.m. Friday with Eastfield meeting the lowest remaining seed. North Lake plays the highest remaining seed at 7 p.m. The championship match is set for 4 p.m. Saturday.
The champion receives an automatic bid to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament Nov. 9-11 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

- Dallas College Richland's Alexis Wiley is second in the DAC in assists (693). She is ninth in the country in that category
- Brookhaven's Jordan Bruscato leads the DAC in aces (67). She is tied for 15th in the NJCAA Division III in that category
- Eastfield ranks fifth in the nation in hitting percentage (.242)
- Eastfield ranks fourth in the nation in assists (1223), North Lake is fifth (1148), and Mountain View seventh (1053)
