Davis Picked as Final DAC Offensive Player of Week This Year

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Azoria Davis was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

It is the third time this season Davis was selected for the league's weekly award – this the final honor of the season.

A freshman outside hitter from League City, Texas, Davis hit .340 with 24 kills in 53 attacks, and had 26 digs and three blocks as the No. 1 Harvester Bees won a pair of matches to finish the regular season unbeaten. She had 16 kills, 24 digs and two blocks, while hitting .308 in a four-set win at No. 4 Dallas College Brookhaven. Davis added eight kills on 14 swings for a .429 hitting percentage and a block in a sweep of Dallas College Richland.

Davis finished the season second in the DAC in kills (272) and tied for first in kills per set (3.28).

Eastfield (29-0) will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament this week, beginning Wednesday. The Harvester Bees will meet the lowest remaining seed in Friday's 5:30 p.m. semifinals. Eastfield earned a quarterfinal bye.
