Volleyball Hosts Eastfield Invitational Thursday-Saturday

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team opens the season Thursday when it hosts the Eastfield Invitational.

The reigning national champion Harvester Bees host Ranger College at 4 p.m. Thursday. They meet Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College 10 a.m. Friday at Dallas College North Lake before returning home to host Independence Community College and Cloud County Community College Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

The Bees went 35-0 in 2023 to win the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III national championship. Eastfield returns National Player of the Year outside hitter Azoria Davis, First Team All-American setter Taryn Doiron, First Team All-American outside hitter Brenly Walker, DAC Libero of the Year Ava Cole, Second Team All-DAC outside hitter Carli Banks and Honorable Mention All-DAC middle blocker McKenzie Anderson. They also picked up DAC Blocker of the Year Kinleigh Hall, a transfer from North Lake.

Eastfield, ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division III preseason poll, will entertain three teams for the season-opening tournament.
