Walker Chosen as NJCAA DIII Offensive Player of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield volleyball's Brenly Walker was selected as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Offensive Player of the Week.

Walker, a 5-foot-9 sophomore outside hitter from Lexington, Texas, hit .274 in four wins over NJCAA Division I and II opponents at the Wrangler/Ranger Roundup. She had 41 kills, 39 digs, four blocks and five aces in the weekend tournament. Walker banged down a career-high 18 kills in a four-set win over Western Texas College to open the tournament. She had 10 kills, and hit .316 in a sweep of host Cisco College Saturday. Walker had double-digit digs in two of the four matches, while hitting over .315 in three of the four. She's had double-digit kills in four matches this season.

Ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division III poll, Eastfield (9-0) will host Rose State College (1-3) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
