Eastfield Volleyball Hosts NJCAA DIII South District Tournament Wednesday-Saturday

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament Wednesday-Saturday.

The Harvester Bees won the Dallas Athletic Conference regular season title, going unbeaten in the league for a second straight year, and will receive a quarterfinal bye after earning the top seed. Dallas College Richland finished second in the league, and also will receive a bye.

Third-seeded Dallas College North Lake will play sixth-seeded Dallas College Cedar Valley 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Fourth-seeded Dallas College Brookhaven meets fifth-seeded Dallas College Mountain View at 7. Friday's semifinals begin at 5:30 p.m. The championship match is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.

The district champion receives an automatic berth to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament Nov. 14-16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Eastfield won last year's national championship.
