Eastfield Meets Holyoke CC at National Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team will meet Holyoke Community College in the opening round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament next week in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The No. 1 Harvester Bees (27-1) will be making their third straight appearance at the national tournament, having won the last two titles. It will be Eastfield's seventh national tournament appearance. The tournament will be broadcast on the NJCAA Network. Live Stats are also available.
Holyoke (19-4) won the Northeast District title. Caidence White has 188 kills, 266 digs and 34 aces. Isabelle Garutti is averaging 12.3 digs per set to lead the country. Jaylanie Nieves has 129 kills, 55 aces and 15 blocks. Nieves ranks third in the nation. Serymar Santos has 525 assists.
Eastfield's Mia Santos is ninth in the nation in kills per set (4.08). Madison Mosley ranks 17th (3.52). Kira Smith is tied for 14th in blocks per set (0.96). Patience Gibson ranks 16th with 440 digs.
The tournament runs through Nov. 15.
